First determine who you want to conduct outreach too.
Using Filters, build a list from your contacts for targeted efforts. you can also select specific contacts from a project or all contacts.
Use the checkboxes to the right of the contact, select the Contacts you want send Outreach messages to. You can select up to 200 at one time.
Select Outreach from the sub nav.
If you have an existing template select Choose a template. If this is your first tiem using Outreach or you need to create a template select Create a template.
Once you've selected your template or created a new template and clicked Save and continue - you'll be takend to the Outreach message window.
On the left hand side is the details for you contact including: Name, Tags, Overall Rating, Relationship Stage, About, all History items, and any existing Links you have associated with this contact (Link Building only). To get expanded views of the History or Links roll your cursor over the specific item. A popup window will open showing you the expanded full view of the item you have selected.
On the right side of the Outreach window is the compose message box. Here you can change your template if you need to using the dropdown.
If this is your first message in this outreach effort you'll need to select the From email account you wish to send from. Any email addresses you have added to your account will be available plus any shared email accounts (personas). Select the email address you wish to use for this Outreach effort. All subsequent messages in this effort will be sent as the selected address. You can cahnge the address at any time using the From dropdown.
The To address shoes the recipients email address.
The email template subject and Message body fields contain the information from your template. You can customize and edit both fields as needed. Any edits are unique to this email message.
To send the message click Send and Go TO Next Contact. If you do not wish to send the message to this contact Click Remove Contact from Email List to delete the email and go to the next contact.
By default BuzzStream BCC's your email address (the email address on file in your buzzstream account found in My Info within Settings). Use the check box if you do not want to have BuzzStream BCC your email in each Outreach message. This setting is checked at the beginning of all Outreach efforts. You'll need to check it each time you start outreach. The setting will be remembered for all the contacts in that list.
When you send an Outreach message BuzzStream automatically adds that message to your contacts History.
