BuzzStream's Outreach Module allows you send personalized relevant emails to your contacts while being able to see their contact record at the same time. in short the Outgoing Mail Server settings control your access to the outgoing mail server.
BuzzStream sends mail the same way you send mail through your iPhone, Blackberry, and/or Android device. In order to send email from the Outreach Module you need to set up Outgoing Mail Server (also known as SMTP server) found within Connect My Mail in Settings.
Where can I find the Outgoing Mail Server settings?
- For personal email accounts: Most email providers will have the outgoing mail server information available so you can set up external email clients. Look for tutorials in help sections on setting up email or contact support.
- For your domain or small company: Check with the company that hosts your email. They will be able to provide the information to you.
- From your company: Talk to your IT staff. They will be able to provide you the Outgoing SMTP server information. (Some companies do not let people authenticate to the Outgoing Mail Servers outside of the company supported email clients. If this is the case you can purchase a Outgoing Mail Server SMTP Relay service. Many companies provide this service.
